Remnants Arise Neurodiversity Center–Samburu (RANC-SAMBURU) is a registered nonprofit organisation in Kenya dedicated to advancing the rights and holistic well-being of neurodivergent children, youth and families in Northern Kenya.

We are developing a community-rooted ecosystem that connects rehabilitation, education, family support, safeguarding, workforce development and sustainable livelihoods.
Our work is grounded in the belief that neurodivergent people are not problems to be fixed. They are members of families and communities whose rights, strengths, aspirations and contributions must be recognized.
Our Story
RANC-SAMBURU emerged from a recognition that many neurodivergent children and families in underserved communities remain outside conventional systems of identification, rehabilitation, education and economic opportunity.
Geographic isolation, poverty, limited specialist services and stigma can reinforce a cycle of invisibility.
In some communities, harmful misconceptions about neurodivergence can contribute to exclusion, confinement, chaining, violence and denial of basic rights.
RANC-SAMBURU seeks to interrupt this cycle.
Rather than building a model that depends entirely on urban institutions, we are developing a community-based ecosystem that brings knowledge, services and opportunity closer to the people who need them.

To build rights-based, neurodiversity-affirming and locally led systems that connect neurodivergent people and their families to identification, rehabilitation, education, protection, economic opportunity and meaningful participation.

We recognize neurological differences as part of human diversity and focus on support, accessibility, communication, participation and quality of life.

A learning and workforce-development platform designed to strengthen neurodiversity competence among emerging professionals and community workers.
RANC-SAMBURU Glamping Base Resort
A proposed social enterprise platform designed to create employment, caregiver-led economic opportunities and revenue for long-term organisational sustainability.
Together, these branches create an ecosystem rather than isolated projects.
Why Northern Kenya?
Northern Kenya presents unique geographic, socioeconomic and service-delivery challenges.
Communities in arid and semi-arid regions may experience long distances to specialist services, limited infrastructure, poverty and shortages of trained professionals.
A model designed for these realities must be:
